Undoubtedly one of the best strikers in the now defunct NSL, Ante Milicic is considered to be one of the most dangerous attackers in the Hyundai A-League. A well sought-after signature, Milicic is perhaps best known for guiding Sydney Olympic to an NSL Championship and leading Parramatta Power to the last ever NSL grand final. Milicic is also regarded for his ability to hammer in the goals – he was the NSL’s last leading goals scorer and had previously held a record transfer fee of $110,000 when he moved to Sydney Olympic.

Milicic is not without international acclaim - he recently scored 2 goals against Indonesia in a Tsunami Charity friendly match in Perth, adding to his total of 5 goals in 6 internationals.

Before joining the Jets, the veteran striker helped Pahang (Malaysia) win their championship. He is now set for a big year with the Jets as he hopes to keep other teams on the lookout.
His form in Parramatta Power's quest for the NSL Championship has seen him rewarded with a call up to the senior team. Quality striker who is not afraid to try something out of the ordinary and was one of the reasons why he was named the last ever NSL Player of the Year. Has good skills, can hold the ball up well and if given space in the box, will more than likley find the back of the net. Recently returned from Malaysia where he helped Pahang win the Super League Championship, netting 18 goals in the process. Will play for Newcastle United Jets in the newly formed Hyundai A-League.
