Álvaro Rubio Robres is a Spanish footballer who plays for Real Valladolid in the Spanish second division, mainly as a defensive midfielder.

Rubio began his professional career with Real Zaragoza, but never made it past the B squad. In January 2000 he moved to Albacete Balompié - first on loan - where, after a slow start, he became a very important unit for the Castile-La Mancha outfit, in the second division.

After 25 matches in 2002–03, as Albacete returned to La Liga after a seven-year absence, Rubio made his top flight debut on 26 October 2003, in a 2–3 away loss against Real Betis. He amassed a further 50 matches until June 2005, when the club was relegated back.

In 2006–07, Rubio signed with Real Valladolid, being promoted to the top level in his debut campaign and rarely missing a game in the subsequent seasons. Mainly a defensive-minded player, he scored his first goals as a professional in 2007–08, the first coming on 28 October 2007 in a 2–2 draw at CA Osasuna (three for the season).

Due to injuries, Rubio could only appear in 16 league matches in the 2009–10 season, and Valladolid dropped down to division two for the first time in three years.<\/P>","03A7D9C89753B0D1380A64764519199FB9772FF9B422CB1E":"1","892B81E13FEE84C5":"realvalladolid@realvalladolid.es","03A7D9C89753B0D1D7F7ED990952C548":"43400000.00","87C021F1E71FC6CD6E05BF0B3DD05793":"68kg","5232E2CC9B16F53977588D5F27A411B8":"

Real Valladolid Club de Futbol, S.A.D., or simply Real Valladolid, is a Spanish professional football club based in Valladolid, Castile and Leon that competes in La Liga.

The club colours are violet and white, used on the kit in stripes from its foundation on 20 June 1928. The team plays its home games at the Estadio Jose Zorrilla, which seats 27,846 spectators. Valladolid's honours include a single trophy of great relevance, the defunct Copa de la Liga 1983–84. It has been runner-up in the Copa del Rey on two occasions (1949–50 and 1988–89), and has participated in two editions of the UEFA Cup (1984–85 and 1997–98) and also one edition of the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup (1989–90). The team subsidiary, the Real Valladolid Promesas, currently play in the Segunda Federacion.

Since its La Liga debut in the 1948–49 season (in which it became the first club from the region to play in La Liga – five others have since done so), Valladolid is the most successful football club in Castile and Leon by honours and history, with a total of 47 seasons in the First Division, 36 in the Second and 10 in the Third. Historically, Valladolid is the 13th-best team in Spain by overall league points. Two of its players have won the Pichichi Trophy: Manuel Badenes and Jorge da Silva; and ten were internationals with the Spain national football team. In the 21st century, the club's domestic performance follows a yo-yo club pattern, with multiple promotions to (and relegations from) the first division.

On 3 September 2018, it was announced that Brazilian former international footballer Ronaldo Nazario had become the majority shareholder after purchasing a 51% controlling stake in the club. As of June 2024, Ronaldo is owner of 82% of the club shares.<\/P>","EB91D699086F1F17846A1216AD2083C3":"27,846","32EED5AE2B03C17AE9CE11F4F5F2936F":"Valladolid","e_index":3};
