The 27-year-old has been a revelation for Rovers since joining the Belle Vue club in 2003 and is widely regarded as one of the most exciting players in the Football League.

Michael started his career with Luton Town, making 47 appearances for the Hatters before joining Hereford Town in 2000. He enjoyed a six-month spell at Edgar Street and turned out 30 times catching the eye of Yeovil, who paid £25,000 to secure his services in January 2001.

It was during his two-and-a-half year spell at Huish Park that Michael really hit the headlines, bagging 24 goals in 100 appearances for The Glovers. His lightening quick feet and exciting wing play attracted admiring glances and it was somewhat of a shock when Conference rivals Doncaster Rovers stepped is with a £50,000 cheque to prize him away in August 2003.

The Edinburgh-born winger's time at Rovers has seen the Belle Vue club win back-to-back promotions and establish themselves firmly in League One. He has made 142 appearances for Rovers, netting 35 goals from the left wing.

Michael has also won international honours for Scotland 'B' and spent two-months on loan with Championship side Derby County last season. He turned out six times for the Rams.

He has today penned a two-year deal with the Reds keeping him at Oakwell until the summer of 2008.
","C606677BC35A1B73EF2C1314AB427615":"Scotland","1A770A41820EA8876555100F4F89BC57":"Edinburgh City Football Club are a part-time professional senior Scottish football club, which plays in Scottish League Two, the fourth tier of the Scottish Professional Football League.
